SiteCapture Case Study: From the Beginning

In 2014, Chris Doyle established SiteCapture by adapting the field service software FotoNotes, originally designed for the single-family residential industry, to create a solar-specific platform for efficient solar surveying and installation. Years later, after the two of them had worked together at Dividend Finance and Alex's agency had been founded, they collaborated to bring Mountains Wave on board as a trusted resource to help operate, maintain, and grow SiteCapture. Initially, Alex assumed responsibility for sales, operations, and marketing, which led to considerable success, but in 2021 FotoNotes acquired SiteCapture the challenge of merging two companies along with rebranding the new company was given to Alex and the team at Mountains Wave.

SiteCapture is mobile and cloud software built for the solar, real estate and construction industries, and designed to transform field operations through its innovative, user-friendly technology. SiteCapture's industry-leading software is used by thousands of field operations teams to complete millions of projects throughout North America. 

Mountains Wave x SiteCapture

After SiteCapture was acquired by FotoNotes in October 2021, Kamal Shah became the new CEO. The acquisition also brought new team members on board, allowing Mountains Wave to concentrate entirely on marketing and branding for SiteCapture. During the next twelve months, the SiteCapture and Mountains Wave teams collaborated closely to develop SiteCapture's new brand, website, and go-to-market approach. In September 2022, they jointly launched the new combined SiteCapture Brand along with a new website, social media, press, communications, content, and paid advertising. And that was just the beginning...

Mountains Wave has continued to own marketing strategy since the transition in 2021, and is proud of the work they have done alongside the SiteCapture team. Our work with SiteCapture is not only limited to product and content marketing, but we have also taken ownership of all event marketing, having successfully managed exhibitor booths, sponsorship, and speaking opportunities for nearly 10 events in the past year.
